Photographers love Shore Acres, Oregon for good reason. Just look at the splash! If you ever want to feel the raw power of nature, go to shore acres during a storm surge. I visited this location several times to get the conditions I liked for this photo (dark stormy sky in the distance with sunlight on the splash). The enormity of the wave going straight up next to the giant rock walls is truly awe inspiring. If you look on the cliff for the view point you will see two very small looking people which gives a scale to the sheer size of the wave.
