Description: 

I went to Bandon, Oregon for the king tides expecting large splashes. While the water was higher than normal, there was no storm surge, and therefore, no large splashes. I enjoy that photography makes you think outside of the box. So often I have an idea in mind for a picture that never manifests. So, you work with what you have, and sometimes that is even better than what I thought it would be. I used a neutral density filter to darken the light so I could take this picture with a slow shutter speed which gives the water and the clouds a smooth texture and to add to the moody feeling I processed it in black and white.
