Description: 

Having driven passed the salt flats in the summer with their dry cracked surface, it was surprising to find it covered in 6 inches of water when I visited in late fall to take pictures. But, this was an awesome opportunity to not only photograph the landscape in a way that is contrary to most peoples idea of what it looks like, it also was an amazing surface for reflection photography. Those few minutes (the golden hour is not really an hour) that the sunset lights up the underneath of the clouds and the calm water surface reflects the scene above gives this landscape a fairy tale feeling.
