This picture is a great example of going with the flow. Sometimes you have a great idea of a picture you want. You drive somewhere, hike a trail, set up, and then realize that the picture you were after is just not going to happen. After a day of exactly this situation, and heading home without the shot I wanted, I drove passed a crew of people harvesting cranberries. “Why not?” I thought. I turned around and drove back to asked them if I could fly the drone and take some aerial pictures while they work. Not only did they let me, they told me that they were taking the tractor to the flooded bog in the back to rake the berries and asked if I would like to photograph that. As you can see, I am so glad I did. The lines of the red berries in the bog, the green tractor raking brush, and all at sunset with soft lighting and long shadows! Some days work-out better than planned.
