Description: 

I first learned about Secret Beach from a waiter at a pub in Brookings. There is no sign on Highway 101 for the beach like there is for other attractions, so you kind of have to go by mile markers and GPS. Excited to find this hidden area, I parked in the closest parking area off the road, and headed down the trail. After a few wrong turns, I finally found it. Apparently, it's not really that much of a secret, lol. I discovered that many people knew the location, and there was a shorter trail to get there. Live & learn. The beach area is only accessible at low tide, so I came back on a day when low tide was at sunset to get this picture with the silky waves on the sand and soft glowing light on the sea stacks.
