I was born in the beautiful black forest area of Germany, where three countries – Germany, Switzerland and France – meet.
Surrounded by such beautiful nature, photography has always played an important part in my life. I also spent a lot of time in the Mediterranean, especially Italy, southern France and Spain and came to love the ocean. No wonder that many of my favorite photos are of the ocean.
At age 27 I left Germany and moved to Baja California, Mexico and later to San Diego, California, where I lived for almost 20 years. For the past six years, I have split my time between the Oregon Coast and Southern Arizona and am now permanently back at the Oregon Coast.
My specialty is landscape and travel photography and in the past few years, I have also become a videographer, as I love moving pictures as much as still pictures. I have been on assignments for tourism boards and my photos have been featured in various publications and several galleries around the country.
I am drawn to the beauty of creation and the colorful aspects of nature. Post processing my raw images and turning them into pieces of art gives me tremendous joy, and I hope people will find them touching and meaningful.
